Filmizion Productions is a film and television production company based in Amman, Jordan, founded in 2012 by acclaimed director and producer Tima Shomali. The company is recognized for pioneering bold, original storytelling from the Arab world that resonates on a global scale.

Filmizion’s vision is to create content that reflects the realities and voices of the region, while pushing boundaries and shaping narratives that spark conversation. The company is also committed to contributing to the growth of the entertainment industry in Jordan through high-quality productions and the nurturing of local talent.

Its most celebrated production, AlRawabi School for Girls, a Netflix original, released its second season in 2024 to critical and popular acclaim. The series topped Netflix charts in multiple countries, earned coverage from international media outlets including The New Yorker and The Economist, and was praised for its fearless portrayal of social issues in the Arab world. In 2025, Filmizion was honored at the Joy Awards for its outstanding contribution to regional storytelling.

Earlier works include the breakout hit Female Show, a comedic series that ran for three seasons and became one of the most viewed web series in Jordan, with over 97 million views on YouTube.

At the heart of Filmizion’s mission is a desire to tell cross-cultural stories that resonate both locally and internationally—an ambition reflected in AlRawabi School for Girls reaching audiences in over 47 countries.
